A Few August Events In Eastern New Mexico

I have been remiss in listing events here in the eastern side of the state but here are some events listed in no particular order. They are mostly county fairs. I will try to have a better list of September activities later on.

An interesting inclusion to the Tucumcari festivities or better known as Quay County Heritage Dayze are the inclusion of Chautauqua acts. All of the festivities are free to the public as they are sponsored by the City and other civic groups.

Rt.66 Ethanol Plant

A recent review of the web site for the Office of the State Engineer show an application for water from the Rt. 66 Ethanol Plant. The request for ground water is 800 ac. ft. per year from a well the old plant used.
